After watching A Mother's Courage: Talking Back to Autism with my daughter, she turned to me and asked, "What if I wasn';t able to tell you I love you, mummy?"

As I thought about what that meant, for a mother not to be able to talk with her own child, I realized that I had to lend my voice to raise awareness of this rapidly increasing disorder. As a mother of two, I thought, how could I not help tell this story of another mother's journey to discover her son; a journey of courage and determination to try to change the world for children with autism.

Kate told the BBC that she thinks that it is probably going to be Leo’s year this year when it comes to winning an Oscar for his performance in the Revenent.

Kate Winslet has backed her Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio to win his first Oscar at next month’s ceremony.

The actress said she would be “surprised” if The Revenant star did not receive the best actor award after missing out with his previous five Oscar nominations.

Kate was speaking at the London Critics Circle Film Awards on Sunday night. She collected her best supporting actress award for Steve Jobs, just one week after winning the same prize at the Golden Globes.
